The walking is easy; the only climbing you will do is over the occasional bridge. Our second day was rather long because instead of stopping at Cookham we went on to Maidenhead. 1. Walking days 2½ 2. Getting there & away Train Paddington - Reading; 30 mins Train Windsor - Paddington; just over an hour; change in Slough 3. Books, maps etc The Thames Path, David Sharp, Aurum Press. This has all you need - map and route description. 4. The Route Day 1: Reading Station to Henley-on-Thames: 9 miles The B&B we stayed at has ceased business, but there should be a good choice.
