SHORTER WALKS
Many of these can be done in two days, including travel from London.
They can be good to walk with others, to introduce the pleasures of linear walking.

Another lovely 2-day walk: up to Shangri-La and down to the Derwent

Day 1 is 3½ miles up to Eyam Edge; day 2 is 6 miles via the plague village of Eyam and down to the peaceful river Derwent.

Dark Peak - Glossop to Edale


A great 2-day intro to the Dark Peak

Day 1 is seven miles up to the Snake Pass Inn; day 2 (7½ miles) goes SW, then SE into the Edale valley.
